Though the launch of new Mustang is still a couple of months away, the American car maker Ford has now officially announced the power specs of the much-awaited muscle car.

"This EcoBoost engine delivers the healthy output Mustang drivers expect, regardless of the car's speed," said Scott Makowski, EcoBoost powertrain engineering manager. "It delivers where a Mustang driver expects it to – with a broad, flat torque curve and great driveability under any conditions."

In addition to the power figures, Ford has also revealed some other facts such as weight distribution statistics, details about new equipment for the Mustang, including a trio of brake systems, performance packs for the EcoBoost and GT.
