A buyer, who wishes to keep his name anonymous, has bought an exclusive one-of-a-kind Jeep Renegade signed by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones. The original charity initiative that brought Jeep and Rolling Stones back together again ended last week. A brand spanking new Jeep Renegade was signed on hood by the Rolling Stones and auctioned at a price of $46,000 (about Rs 29.2 lakh). The vehicle was successfully auctioned off at global charity auction site Charitybuzz to an anonymous bidder.
The tour became an ideal occasion to unveil the new Jeep Renegade. The car sold off at the auction was the one signed on 22 June in Rome, the only Italian date of the tour, against the spectacular backdrop of Circo Massimo. Special guest for the evening was the new Jeep Renegade, unveiled for the first time in Italy in the ancient Roman stadium following its international debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Renegade is the first ever model in the brand's history to be built in Italy and the first Fiat Chrysler Automobiles vehicle to emerge from the collaboration between Italian and American designers. Sold in over 100 countries around the world, and hopefully India soon, the new Jeep Renegade has bags of personality and boasts class-leading, off-road capabilities and more than seventy safety devices. It is the only car in the segment to offer 9-speed automatic transmission, two drive systems, rear axle disconnection device and an instrument panel complete with 7 inch display.
