Mercedes AMG Reveals GLE63 S Coupe

After revealing a teaser video of GLE63 AMG, the Affalterbach based manufacturer, Mercedes AMG has unveiled a more potent GLE63 S Coupe. The car houses AMG’s 5.5-liter V8 Bi-turbo engine good enough to churn a max output of 577 hp at 5,500 rpm with peak torque of 760 Nm at 1,750-5,250 rpm. To further enhance the driving pleasure, Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe also features company’s All-Wheel-Drive 4MATIC system.

This high performance SUV coupe comes with the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with active roll stabilization ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM and the Sports Direct- Steer system. The 4MATIC all-wheel drive comes with rear-biased torque distribution and the DYNAMIC SELECT.

The GLE63 Coupe is the logical progression of our ambitious growth strategy – after all, in 1999 with the first high-performance SUV ML55 AMG, we established a completely new segment. The new GLE63 Coupe will inspire SUV fans focused on dynamics while at the same time representing a new interpretation of driving performance,” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.

Step inside and you get a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound with Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG high-end system. Mechanically, the engine is coupled to AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC and boasts five transmission modes of Slippery, Individual, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. Performance wise, the SUV can achieve an acceleration of 0 to 100kmph in 4.2 seconds. In terms of safety, the SUV comes equipped with Adaptive Brake, Attention Assist, Tire pressure monitoring system, Surround View Camera System and Crosswind Assist to name a few.
