Narain Karthikeyan assisting Tata Motors developing new cars

Tata Motors and Narain Karthikeyan team up to develop new breed of cars. As said by an official company source, Narain will contribute not just at the conceptual stage, but also with the testing of prototypes. His key role would be to pass feedbacks in order to make Tata vehicles more competitive in comparison to its rivals. His expert advice will be considered in various areas ranging from EPS calibration- which works on everything from high-speed steering control to parking or reverse efforts.

Apart from these, he would give his inputs on typres, and how to strike a perfect balance between performance and fuel efficiency of the car. Karthikeyan has been working for past four years with R&D team of Tata Motors, ever since has been contributing his bit with his expert perspective. He is said to have played a major role in the Tata's new range of products- upcoming Tata Bolt and Zest. Here, he offered his expert advice over engine optimisation making Bolt and Zest a fun to drive.

Being a racing driver, Karthikeyan has been giving his feedback on complicated race cars to bring the best out of these cars. He says, “ Compared to those, a road car is significantly more straightforward. The new cars will be much more energised and will have a character.” He also added saying, “ The image of maker of noisy diesel car will change with the new range of products. With every new platform you will see massive change in Tata Motors cars.”
