Shelby American Unveils Mustang Super Snake with 750+ Horses!

Based out of the 2015 Mustang GT, it is surely going straight for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat 

Shelby American has unveiled the range-topping Mustang Super Snake with up to 750+ horses. As the Mustang jumps to 6-sixth generation, the Super Snake is back and is based on the 2015 model year Mustang GT Fastback. Moreover, apart from the 6-Speed manual, Super Snake for the first time will be available with an automatic transmission. In all, there will be only 300 units produced of 2015 Shelby Super Snakes and pricing starts at $49,995 (excluding the cost of the base Mustang GT).

Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American and co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International said, “When Shelby American introduced the 605 horsepower Super Snake in 2007, the car became an instant sensation.”

“By working closely with our partners at Ford Performance, Weld Racing, Michelin, Carbon by Design and Whipple and Kenne Bell superchargers, the 2015 Shelby Super Snake is an amazing car with world-class performance,” he added further. 

The vehicle starts its life as a base Mustang GT 5.0-liter V8 with Ford Performance supercharger feeding power via a 6-Speed manual or automatic transmission generating 650+ horses. To further satiate the horsepower appetite, options include a more powerful supercharger, an improved intercooler and heat exchanger system, all designed to produce more than 750 hp. Apart from these, Shelby also adds Ford Performance suspension components, a throaty Borla exhaust, Weld Racing Super Snake 20” alloys shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres and 6-piston Wilwood brakes. Moreover, the interiors are also spruced up compared to the stock Mustang GT.
