As Hyundai is getting ready with the Verna facelift, Maruti Suzuki is too planning to bring the RS/sportier trim of its midsize sedan Ciaz. The car is spied again with sportier body kits which is expected to be either offered as accessory package or the automaker might launch a special or limited edition with aggressive body styling.
The body kits include front bumper skirts, sportier side skirts, rear bumper skirts, rear boot spoilers, diffusers and a different colored rear. The complete package may cost around Rs 35,00 to Rs 40,000.
Recently, the carmaker introduced its top of the line Z+ trims in both petrol and diesel model lineup. The ZDI+ and ZXI+ variants offers a large screen SmartPlay infotainment system with voice commands and navigation. Apart from the updated infotainment system, Z+ trims also offers leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Korean carmaker will also launch its updated Verna on either 16th or 17th of this month. The facelifted Verna will be similar to its sibling Solaris available in Russia and thus, will get a large touchscreen infotainment unit which also incorporates a built-in navigation system. Mechanically, the car will remain the same to carry forward the 1.4 or 1.6 CRDi diesel engine and 1.4 or 1.6 VTVT petrol engine, but we expect that the facelift version might ditch the 4-speed automatic gearbox to embrace a new 6-speed automatic transmission, same as in Solaris.
