Australia ASX200 gains 0.8%

Australian share market finished higher for third straight session on Friday, 23 February 2018, following another strong lead from the Dow Jones on Wall Street which advanced 164 points overnight. Most sectors were higher with energy and materials contributing most to gains, while utilities were flat and consumer staples weaker. The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 48 points, or 0.8%, to 5999 while the All Ordinaries advanced 47 points, or 0.8%, to 6105. Over the week, the ASX climbed 1.6%.
