At meeting held on 27 January 2016
Power Grid Corporation of India announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 27 January 2016 have accorded approval for the following:1. 'Investment approval for Western Region System Strengthening Scheme-XIV in Southern Region' at an estimated cost of Rs. 120.67 crore, with commissioning schedule of 30 months from the date of investment approval; and
2. 'Investment approval for Constraints in 400kV bays extension at 400kV Vemagiri Sub-Station' at an estimated cost of Rs. 207.88 crore, with commissioning schedule of 30 months progressively from the date of investment approval.
