Exide Industries standalone net profit rises 29.04% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 6.88% to Rs 1756.29 crore

Net profit of Exide Industries rose 29.04% to Rs 177.55 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 137.59 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 6.88% to Rs 1756.29 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 1643.27 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit rose 14.09% to Rs 622.77 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 545.87 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales declined 0.82% to Rs 6809.18 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 6865.54 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
