GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare drops after Q1 results

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare lost 0.32% to Rs 4,858 at 10:20 IST on BSE after net profit rose 8.46% to Rs 130.12 crore on 8.92% growth in total income to Rs 1011.73 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013.

The Q1 result was announced after market hours on Wednesday, 6 August 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 27.94 points or 0.11% at 25,693.21.

On BSE, so far 7,624 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 319 shares in the past two weeks.

The stock was volatile. The stock lost 0.32% at the day's high of Rs 4,858 so far during the day. The stock lost as much as 2.37% at the day's low of Rs 4,757.75 so far during the day.

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare (GSK Consumer Healthcare) is a leading player in the malted food drinks segment. Its major brands include Horlicks, Boost, Viva and Maltova.
