HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank track rally in ADRs

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank rose by 4.42% and 7.90% respectively at 9:27 IST on BSE after their American depository receipts, or ADRs, reported strong gains on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 18 September 2013.

ICICI Bank rose 7.90% to Rs 1050 and HDFC Bank rose 4.42% to Rs 679.25

The S&P BSE Sensex was up 515.12 points, or 2.58% at 20,477.28.

ICICI Bank's ADR jumped 8.66% to settle at $34.77 on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 18 September 2013.
