Information Technology stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index decreasing 113.11 points or 0.76% at 14762.03 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Tanla Solutions Ltd (down 4.98%), Aptech Ltd (down 2.78%),eClerx Services Ltd (down 2.57%),Tech Mahindra Ltd (down 2.28%),Firstsource Solutions Ltd (down 2.16%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Tata Elxsi Ltd (down 1.97%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (down 1.71%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (down 1.6%), Sonata Software Ltd (down 1.53%), and Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 1.53%).
On the other hand, D-Link India Ltd (up 5.46%), NELCO Ltd (up 3.9%), and Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 3.47%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 6.25 or 0.02% at 40800.06.
The Nifty 50 index was down 9.7 points or 0.08% at 12046.35.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 54.76 points or 0.4% at 13505.81.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 24.57 points or 0.52% at 4737.21.
On BSE,940 shares were trading in green, 1401 were trading in red and 188 were unchanged.
