Infosys announced a strategic partnership with University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to develop new technologies and systems in precision medicine.
Infosys rose 1.46% to Rs 807.55 at 9:27 IST. Through this partnership Infosys also becomes a member of the Center for Computational Biotechnology and Genomic Medicine (CCBGM). The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 22 August 2019.
Venky Ananth, Senior Vice President, Head of Healthcare at Infosys said, Not only do we have an opportunity to develop technologies and solutions that can improve and enhance patient care and management, but we also get a chance to collaborate with some of the finest minds on the new frontiers of healthcare innovation.
On the BSE, 67,000 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.71 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 809.95 and a low of Rs 796 so far during the day.
