Jain Irrigation slumps 24% in four sessions

Shares of Jain Irrigation Systems lost 24.39% to its current market price of Rs 14.10 in four trading sessions from its previous closing high of Rs 18.65 on 3 October 2019.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 265 points or 0.69% to 37,912.66.

On the BSE, 11.39 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 1.83 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 16. It hit an intraday low of Rs 13.20, which is also a 52-week low for the counter. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 76.75 on 12 November 2018.

Jain Irrigation Systems' consolidated net profit tanked 73% to Rs 22.08 crore on 8.2% decline in net sales to Rs 1,891.32 crore in Q1 June 2019 compared with Q1 June 2018.

Jain Irrigation Systems is engaged in manufacture of plastic products, and manufacture of fruit or vegetable juices, their concentrates squashes and powder. Its segments include hi-tech agri input products, industrial products and non-conventional energy.
