NDTV rallies over 76% in four sessions

NDTV hit an upper circuit limit of 10% at Rs 62.40 at 11:43 IST on BSE, with the stock extending recent strong gains.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 164 points, or 0.52% to 31,645.55.

On the BSE, 4.58 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 26,469 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 62.40 and a low of Rs 57.75 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 93.35 on 6 September 2016. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 33.50 on 9 August 2017.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 5 September 2017, rising 37.74% compared with 1.44% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 3.73% as against Sensex's 1.72% rise. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one year, falling 37.53% as against Sensex's 9.77% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 25.79 crore. Face value per share is Rs 4.

Shares of NDTV spurted 76.02% in four trading sessions to its current market price of Rs 62.40, from a close of Rs 35.45 on 31 August 2017.

On a consolidated basis, New Delhi Television reported net loss of Rs 22.01 crore in Q1 June 2017 as against net loss of Rs 44.55 crore in Q1 June 2016. Net sales declined 0.55% to Rs 105.82 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
