Turnover drops
Nifty August 2014 futures were at 7774.65, at a premium of 25.95 points over spot closing of 7748.70. Nifty July 2014 futures were at 7741.05, at a discount compared to spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 284325.99 crore from Rs 287369.36 crore on Friday, 25 July 2014.
Tata Steel July 2014 futures were at 547.30, near spot closing of 547.05.
State Bank of India July 2014 futures were at 2493, at a premium over spot closing of 2489.95.
Axis Bank July 2014 futures were at 396.50, near spot closing of 396.20.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 41.75 points or 0.54% to settle at 7,748.70, its lowest closing level since 21 July 2014.
The August 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 28 August 2014. The near-month July 2014 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 31 July 2014.
