Nifty July 2013 futures were at 5979, at a premium of 23.75 points over spot closing of 5955.25. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 147938.01 crore from Rs 123304.59 crore on Monday, 15 July 2013.
State Bank of India July 2013 futures were at 1831.40, near spot closing of 1829.
Reliance Communications July 2013 futures were at 146.10, at a discount compared to spot closing of 146.20.
Reliance Capital July 2013 futures were at 372, near spot closing of 371.10.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty shed 75.55 points or 1.25% to settle at 5,955.25, its lowest closing level since 11 July 2013.
The July 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 25 July 2013.
