Nifty July 2013 futures were at 5685.85, near spot closing of 5682.35. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 306461.66 crore from Rs 205930.84 crore on Wednesday, 26 June 2013.
State Bank of India (SBI) July 2013 futures were at 1929.35, at a premium over spot closing of 1918.
Tata Motors July 2013 futures were at 275.80, near spot closing of 274.
United Spirits July 2013 futures were at 2253, at a premium over spot closing of 2232.05.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty advanced 93.65 points or 1.68% to settle at 5,682.35, its highest closing level since 19 June 2013.
The July 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 25 July 2013. The June 2013 derivative contracts expired today, 27 June 2013.
