Nifty June futures at premium; VIX rises 1.13%

Reliance Industries, Infosys and Tata Steel were the top traded futures contracts on the NSE.

The Nifty June 2022 futures were at 16,583.10, a premium of 13.55 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 16,569.55 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 60.11 lakh crore compared with Rs 52.93 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 14.75 points or 0.09% to settle at 16,569.55.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 1.13% to 20.2025.

Reliance Industries, Infosys and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The June 2022 F&O contracts will expire on 30 June 2022.
