Turnover drops
Nifty April 2014 futures were at 6662.60, at a premium of 72.85 points over spot closing of 6589.75. Nifty March 2014 futures were at 6607.15, at a premium of 17.40 points over spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 181091.08 crore from Rs 206459.04 crore on Monday, 24 March 2014.
L&T March 2014 futures were at 1253.70, at a premium over spot closing of 1249.85.
HDFC Bank March 2014 futures were at 754.60, at a premium over spot closing of 750.75.
Apollo Tyres March 2014 futures were at 157.05, near spot closing of 156.45.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 6.25 points or 0.09% to settle at 6,589.75, a record closing high.
The April 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 24 April 2014. The near-month March 2014 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 27 March 2014.
