Nifty May 2013 futures at discount

Nifty May 2013 futures were at 5914.75, at a discount of 1.55 points compared to spot closing of 5916.30. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 317082.42 crore from Rs 212854.42 crore on Tuesday, 23 April 2013. The stock market was closed on Wednesday, 24 April 2013, on account of Mahavir Jayanti.

Axis Bank May 2013 futures were at 1484.15, at a discount compared to spot closing of 1498.

TCS May 2013 futures were at 1401.25, near spot closing of 1401.

ICICI Bank May 2013 futures were at 1164, at a discount compared to spot closing of 1174.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty jumped 79.40 points or 1.36% to settle at 5,916.30, its highest closing level since 11 March 2013.

The May 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 30 May 2013. The April 2013 derivatives contracts expired today, 25 April 2013.
