Turnover in the F&O segment rises
The Nifty November 2018 futures traded at 10380.75, a discount of 5.85 points from the Nifty's closing of 10386.60 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was reported at Rs 10.53 lakh crore, higher than Rs 7.19 lakh crore in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 188.20 points or 1.85% to settle at 10,386.60.
ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ICICI Bank November 2018 futures traded at 354, near spot closing price of 353.40. State Bank of India November 2018 futures traded at 280.90, near spot closing price of 280.75. HDFC Bank November 2018 futures traded at 1915.75, at a premium over spot closing price of 1906.
The November 2018 F&O contracts expire on 29 November 2018.
