Nifty October futures at premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops

The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10194, a premium of 26.55 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10167.45 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 6.23 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 11.28 lakh crore registered yesterday, 12 October 2017.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index advanced 71.05 points or 0.7% to settle at 10,167.45, a record closing high.

Tata Steel, Reliance Industries (RIL), Bharti Airtel, TCS and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 710.60, near spot closing of 710.50. RIL October 2017 futures traded at 880.70, at a premium over spot closing of 877.35.

Bharti Airtel October 2017 futures traded at 432.45, at a premium over spot closing of 431. TCS October 2017 futures traded at 2562, at a premium over spot closing of 2559.75. HDFC Bank October 2017 futures traded at 1849.85, near spot closing of 1848.90.

The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
