Turnover on NSE's F&O segment tumbles
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 9795, a premium of 6.40 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9788.60 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 3.57 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 15 lakh crore registered yesterday, 28 September 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 19.65 points or 0.20% to settle at 9,788.60, its highest closing level since 26 September 2017.
Reliance Industries, Vedanta, GAIL (India), Maruti Suzuki India and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Reliance Industries October 2017 futures traded at 783, at a premium compared with spot closing of 781.20. Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 316.65, at a premium compared with spot closing of 315.35.
GAIL (India) October 2017 futures traded at 417.75, at a discount compared with spot closing of 418.85. Maruti Suzuki India October 2017 futures traded at 8014, at a premium compared with spot closing of 7984. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 653.75, at a premium compared with spot closing of 652.50.
The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
