NTPC, IOCL edge lower on reports CCEA clears Govt's stake-divestment

Indian Oil Corporation and NTPC fell 1.74% to 4.73% at 11:39 IST on BSE on reports the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs at a meeting held today, 13 May 2015, approved government's 5% divestment in NTPC and 10% stake sale in IOCL.

NTPC (down 4.73% at Rs 134.80) and Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.74% at Rs 327) edged lower.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 7.52 points or 0.03% at 26,885.

The Government of India (GoI) held 74.96% stake in NTPC and 68.57% in Indian Oil Corporation (as per the shareholding pattern as on 31 March 2015).
