Quick Wrap: Nifty Auto Index rises 10.41%, NIFTY jumps 4.15%

Nifty Auto index closed up 10.41% at 5568.45 today. The index is down 16.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd gained 17.53%, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd jumped 16.85% and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd added 13.38%. The Nifty Auto index is down 36.00% over last one year compared to the 21.34% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index added 6.05% and Nifty Private Bank index added 5.28% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 4.15% to close at 9111.9 while the SENSEX added 4.23% to close at 31159.62 today.
