F&O segment turnover jumps
The Nifty October 2018 futures traded at 10599.90, near the Nifty's spot closing of 10599.25 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 20.26 lakh crore compared to Rs 11.76 lakh crore in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 259 points or 2.39% to settle at 10,599.25.
Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finance were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Reliance Industries October 2018 futures traded at 1115, at a premium from spot closing price of 1108.50. ICICI Bank October 2018 futures traded at 317.25, at a premium from spot closing price of 316. Bajaj Finance October 2018 futures traded at 2167.20, near spot closing price of 2167.10.
The October 2018 F&O contracts will expire on 25 October 2018.
