Five sugar stocks rose 0.61% to 6.75% at 10:31 IST on BSE on reports that the Cabinet may today, 19 February 2015 consider the proposal of subsidy for raw sugar exports.
Simbhaoli Sugars (up 6.75%), Dhampur Sugar Mills (up 1.9%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (up 2.33%), Triveni Engineering Industries (up 1.98%), and Shree Renuka Sugars (up 0.61%), edged higher. Balrampur Chini Mills (down 1.21%) and Rana Sugars (down 2.55%), edged lower.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 77.95 points or 0.27% at 29,398.21.
Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said last week the government will soon take a decision on giving incentive for export of raw sugar.
