The total number of telecom subscribers show a monthly decline of 0.70% as on 30 September 2013

As per the latest telecom subscription data as on 30th September 2013, the total number of subscribers was 899.86 million - showing a monthly decline of 0.70%. Out of the total subscriber base, 543.18 million are from the urban areas and the remaining 356.68 million are the rural subscribers.

Active wireless subscribers on the date of Peak VLR in September, 2013 are 738.89 million, 84.87% of the total subscribers.

Broadband subscription reached 15.36 million in September 2013 from 15.28 million in August 2013.
