Nifty January 2019 futures at steep premium
The Nifty January 2019 futures traded at 10,962.20, a premium of 52.10 points from the Nifty's closing of 10,910.10 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 5.67 lakh crore compared with Rs 4.12 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 47.55 points or 0.44% to settle at 10,910.10
State Bank of India, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
State Bank of India January 2019 futures traded at 302.10, compared with spot closing price of 300.70. Reliance Industries January 2019 futures traded at 1,127.50, compared with spot closing price of 1,120.50. ICICI Bank January 2019 futures traded at 365.10, compared with spot closing price of 364.20.
The January 2019 F&O contracts expire on 31 January 2019.
