Nifty December 2018 futures at modest premium
The Nifty December 2018 futures traded at 10,619.80, a premium of 18.65 points from the Nifty's closing of 10,601.15 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was reported at Rs 18.78 lakh crore, compared with Rs 7.46 lakh crore reported in the previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 181.75 points or 1.69% to settle at 10,601.15
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries December 2018 futures traded at 419.50, compared with spot closing price of 417.55. ICICI Bank December 2018 futures traded at 348.80, compared with spot closing price of 348. Reliance Industries December 2018 futures traded at 1,123.55, compared with spot closing price of 1119.05.
The December 2018 F&O contracts expire on 27 December 2018.
