Nifty October futures at premium
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 9866.85, a premium of 7.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9859.50 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 3.42 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.57 lakh crore registered on Friday, 29 September 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 70.90 points or 0.72% to settle at 9,859.50, its highest closing level since 26 September 2017.
Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Vedanta and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Reliance Industries October 2017 futures traded at 801, at a premium compared with spot closing of 799. Maruti Suzuki India October 2017 futures traded at 7903.65, at a premium compared with spot closing of 7867.15.
Tata Motors October 2017 futures traded at 417.85, at a premium compared with spot closing of 416. Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 319, at a premium compared with spot closing of 318. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 661.55, at a premium compared with spot closing of 660.65.
The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
