Nifty November futures trade at premium
The Nifty November 2017 futures traded at 10452.45, a premium of 28.65 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10423.80 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 10.64 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.93 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 16.70 points or 0.16% to settle at 10,423.80.
Divi's Laboratories, State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank, Aurobindo Pharma and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Divi's Laboratories November 2017 futures traded at 1080, at a small discount compared with spot closing of 1080.90. SBI November 2017 futures traded at 315.65, at a premium over spot closing of 314.20.
ICICI Bank November 2017 futures traded at 314.80, at a discount compared with spot closing of 316.15. Aurobindo Pharma November 2017 futures traded at 795.25, at a premium over spot closing of 790. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries November 2017 futures traded at 567, at a premium over spot closing of 563.90.
The November 2017 F&O contracts expire on 30 November 2017.
