Volumes jump at Indoco Remedies counter

Centum Electronics, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Thermax, and SKF India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 22 July 2014.

Indoco Remedies clocked volume of 6.22 lakh shares by 13:47 IST on BSE, a 62.75-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 10,000 shares. The stock spurted 18.17% at Rs 194.45 after the company said it received an approval from the US drug regulator for two of its facilities in Goa. The announcement was made after market hours on Monday, 21 July 2014.

Centum Electronics notched up volume of 4.01 lakh shares, a 49.22-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.08% at Rs 375.10.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises saw volume of 46.57 lakh shares, a 16.67-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.79 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.85% at Rs 302.25.

Thermax clocked volume of 78,000 shares, a 16.36-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock tumbled 7.59% at Rs 877 after net profit fell 17.7% to Rs 41.40 crore on 2.7% decline in operating revenue to Rs 839.40 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013. The Q1 result was announced during market hours today, 22 July 2014.

SKF India saw volume of 2.15 lakh shares, a 9.34-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 23,000 shares. The stock rose 2.41% at Rs 1,068.80.
