At least 20 persons were killed and scores injured in a train crash in Italy on Tuesday.

Firemen and ambulances rushed to the town of Corato to rescue victims trapped inside the train, Efe news reported.

The accident occurred due to a head-on collision between two passenger trains travelling on a single track
