Two fires on Christmas Eve and Christmas in Houston in the US state of Texas, killed two persons and injured three others.
An 83-year-old woman died after a Christmas morning house fire, while on Christmas Eve, a boy was killed in an apartment fire that also displaced dozens of families, Houston Fire Department said on Tuesday.
It was not clear what caused the fires. The child's age was not confirmed but family members at the scene said he was 10. The woman was found unconscious at the bottom of the stairs.
Three other people, including the boy's father and a fire-fighter, were injured in the blaze, said the fire department.
