At least 22 children were injured, including one seriously, when their school van overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district on Monday.
"The accident occurred in the morning when the van driver swerved off the road to avoid hitting some cattle fighting on the road. The van turned turtle," in-charge of Tonk Khurd police station Devpal Chowksey told IANS.
"Of the 22 injured, 16 were sent off home after first aid, while five sustained bone injuries and were sent for X-ray to Dewas. One suffered serious head injury and is being treated at a Dewas hospital," Chowksey added.
