Three members of an Uttarakhand family were killed while two were injured in an accident in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh early on Friday, police said.
The accident took place near Baheri bypass when the car they were travelling in collided with a tanker.
The deaths were on the spot while the condition of one of the injured is stated to be serious.
