At least 40 people sustained burn injuries in a string of arson attacks carried out by supporters of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-sponsored blockade across the country, a media report said Saturday.
On Friday, two victims, injured earlier in similar attacks, died from severe burns at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), bdnews24.com reported.
Since it began Jan 5, the non-stop transport blockade has left at least 35 people dead and over 100 injured across the country.
In Dhaka, at least 27 people suffered burn in an arson attack on a bus by suspected blockade supporters on Demra Road around 9.30 p.m., police said.
