48 injured in Barcelona train accident

At least 48 people were injured on Friday after a train accident at a station in Barcelona, Spain, the media reported.

The Catalan Emergency Services said the accident occurred during rush hour at the Estacion de Franca, a major railway station in city, reports CNN.

Of the 48 injured, at least five were in serious condition, the department said.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
