Delhi's new Tourism Minister Somnath Bharti Sunday attended his first public event as minister -- a food festival organised by Delhi Tourism in central Delhi.

Bharti was sworn in as minister Saturday.

"Dilli Ke Pakwan" is a food festival held every December in the capital, with various food stalls. People gather for the festival to get a taste of a wide range of street food in the capital.

The minister visited stalls at the festival and applauded Delhi Tourism for having made the effort to organise such festivals for the people of Delhi.

Over three lakh visitors visited the week-long food festival, which concluded Sunday.
