Aguilera teases fans with new image

Singer Christina Aguilera has teased her fans with an image of herself working in a music studio.

Aguilera took to Instagram over the weekend to share the photograph. Dressed casual in a blue flannel, the "Beautiful" hitmaker had her headphones on and the microphone turned up as she stood in her creative space, reports eonline.com.

While she didn't add a caption to the photograph, it was enough to get some fans speculating as to what could be next for the popstar.

"Can't wait for the new album, it's been a while xtina," one fan wrote. Another added, "Just do ur THANG honey" in honour of her hit single "Ain't no other man".

It's been more than three years since she released a full studio album. Her last finished product was "Lotus" that featured collaborations with Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green.

Raising two children and coaching contestants on singing reality show "The Voice" has kept her busy in recent years.

"I've been loosely working and accumulating ideas for what my next album will be for the last couple of years," she told Today show's Natalie Morales back in October. "I'm excited for my fans to finally be getting something from me. It's been awhile."
