Himachal Pradesh is in line for more snow and rain ahead of the Holi festival, the weather office here said on Saturday.
A fresh bout of western disturbance will be active in the state for two days from March 1, said the weather office, with chances of widespread rain and snow in the state.
Weather officials said chances of snow around tourist destinations of Shimla and Manali are high. Hills near both destinations had experienced moderate snow last week.
Meanwhile, Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest town in the state with a low of minus six degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperatures in Shimla and Manali were 7.6 degrees and two degrees respectively. The maximum temperature in the state capital stayed at 18.4 degrees.
Kalpa, some 250 km from Shimla, which experienced snowfall last week, saw the night temperature at 1.4 degrees Celsius, while it was 7.8 degrees in Dharamsala, 3.6 degrees in Kufri and 7.1 degrees in Dalhousie.
