Airlines offer special fares for festive season

Various domestic airlines on Tuesday announced special fare offers during the upcoming festive season.

Airline major Jet Airways on Tuesday announced an offer on economy fares for guests travelling on the airline's domestic network.

"Guests can avail unmatched discounts and fares on key sectors within India starting from base fares of Rs 396," Jet Airways said.

"The four-day special fare offer is effective from 4th-7th October, 2016, and valid for travel from 8th November, 2016 onwards on the airlines' select domestic network."

The Jet Airways said the offer is valid only on its direct flights within India and available on first-come-first serve basis.

Apart from Jet Airways, low cost carrier (LCC) SpiceJet also announced a special offer -- "Great Festival Sale".

"Ushering in the festive spirit and commemorating the festival of lights, SpiceJet the country's favourite low cost carrier, today announced its special Great Festival Sale offer," the budget airline said in a statement.

"The exciting discount sale offers all inclusive one-way fares starting as low as Rs 888/- for the domestic and Rs 3,699/- for the international sectors respectively."

According to the LCC, the four day sale launched on Tuesday will be open till midnight October 7, and the travel period covered is November 8, 2016 to April 13, 2017.
