Airtel Payments Bank, Bharti Axa tie up to offer insurance under PMJJBY

Airtel Payments Bank on Thursday said it has tied up with Bharti Axa Life Insurance to offer the bank's customers insurance cover under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY).

PMJJBY provides life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh at Rs 330 per annum.

"The product, PMJJBY can be purchased by all existing or new Airtel Payments Bank savings bank account holders between the age of 18-50," Airtel Payments Bank said in a statement.

As per the tie-up, PMJJBY will be initially available at 100,000 Airtel Payments Bank - Banking Points across the country and it would be increased to over 500,000 banking points in future, it said.
