Reigning champions Ajax and PEC Zwolle drew 0-0 in a disappointing top of the table clash in Dutch Eredivisie football.
The match in Amsterdam Sunday night had very few highlights, reports Xinhua. An attempt on the crossbar by Ajax forward Kolbeinn Sigthorsson was the closest a team came to scoring.
Earlier Sunday, league leaders PSV had no problems beating Excelsior 3-0. Adam Maher, Luciano Narsingh and Jurgen Locadia scored for the home team. PSV defender Jeffrey Bruma received a red card in the 60th minute for a foul on breakaway striker Tom van Weert.
AZ and FC Twente drew 2-2 in Alkmaar, while Feyenoord beat FC Groningen 4-0. PSV now lead the Eredivisie with 18 points from eight matches, followed by Ajax (16), PEC Zwolle (16) and Cambuur (15).
