The registration of pilgrims for this year's annual Yatra to the Himalayan cave shrine of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir will start March 1, said an official statement issued here Friday.
"The process of registering Yatris... shall commence... simultaneously for both Baltal and Chandanwari routes through 425 designated bank branches", the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) said.
SASB CEO Navin Choudhary said the pilgrims can register themselves through 425 designated branches of J&K Bank, Yes Bank and Punjab National Bank across the country.
He said this year's pilgrimage will culminate on Raksha Bandhan day Aug 10.
