The Election Commission is launching two animated advertisements that would take viewers through the entire electoral process right from the issue of voter slips to casting of ballots, ahead of the West Bengal assembly polls, an official announced here on Wednesday.
To be aired on TV channels soon, the animation showcases the commission's mascot Ananya, its officials guiding the electorate through the process.
"For the first time we have started walk-throughs. There are two parts. In the first part, the voters will be made aware on the importance of voter slip etc. and in the second, they will be taken step-by-step through casting their vote," Amitjyoti Bhattacharya, an EC official told the media here at a workshop.
This apart, the electoral body is readying itself with posters in regional dialects as well as in Hindi, to emphasise on ethical voting and other aspects.
