Indian tennis player Ankita Raina was ousted from the opening round of singles at the $115,000 Jiangxi Women's Tennis Open here on Tuesday.

China's Chang Liu took just two hours and five minutes to beat Ankita 6-2, 7-6(9) on the hard courts of the Nanchang International Tennis Centre.

Though the 228-ranked Indian won three breakpoints, it was not enough as Chang, ranked 245, won a total of five breakpoints in both sets to clinch the match.

The Chinese also won 94 points in total to Ankita's 76.
