Anti-Posco leader Abhaya Sahu was arrested Saturday in connection with an explosion that killed three people in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district in March, police said.
"He was about to board a flight in Bhubaneswar for Coimbatore when he was arrested," Superintendent of Police Satyabrata Bhoi told IANS.
Although about 60 criminal cases were pending against him, he was arrested for his role in the explosion in Patna village March 3. Police said the three deceased were making the bomb which exploded.
Sahu is president of Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samittee, which has been spearheading the campaign against Posco's $12 billon steel project in the area, about 120 km from Bhubaneswar.
